Cheam Enterprises Inc. Extends Heartfelt Gratitude to Mike McDonald and Dave Barret for Their Service on the Board of Directors

Cheam First Nation, BC – Cheam Enterprises Inc. (CEI) announces the departure of two esteemed members of its Board of Directors, Mike McDonald and Dave Barret.
- Mike McDonald was appointed by Cheam Chief and Council in January 2023 and resigned on May 16th, 2024. He expressed his gratitude and best wishes for Cheam First Nation and Cheam Enterprises Inc.
- Dave Barret was the longest-serving Board member initially appointed by the Cheam Chief and Council in November of 2017 and received 1yr, 2yr and 3yr Chief and Council renewals to November 15th, 2023.
An “expression of interest” to join the Cheam Enterprises Inc. Board of Directors was publicly posted in the last quarter of 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, the Board-appointed governance committee faced the difficult task of recommending successful candidate(s) from the excellent applicants selected for an interview.
Cheam Enterprises Inc. is committed to carrying on the tradition of excellence established by recruiting former Board members like Mike and Dave. The company will soon announce the appointment of new independent board members by the Cheam Chief and Council. These board members will maintain the high standards and strategic direction set by their predecessors.
